Cian McGrath

Cian McGrath has just finished his final season at Youths with Ballinroad FC Waterford.
While captaining this team for the last few seasons he has also been a massive part of our mens Premier team. He was integrated into this team last season and has progressed so much, that the transition from schoolboys to mens has been seamless and he has been ever present in the matchday squad all season. He also bagged himself leading goalscorer award with this team. His Youths team also won their respective league this season so it has been a great 2025 for him.
Cian started out in the Ballinroad Academy aged 7 and has been with the club all the way. As well as his haul of local League and Cup medals, he also has an All Ireland and Munster medal with the U15 Waterford Interleague team.
He attracted interest from the local LOI academy of Waterford and was training with them for a long period.
Cian can play multiple positions, mostly attacking, with his main strengths being his pace, power and finishing. No defender can live with him and he can score with his left and right foot. As well as being able to drop a corner into the most dangerous area of the 18yd box he can also get on the end of one.
When not in possession his leadership qualities kick in, constantly organising his fellow players and communicating with them at all times during the game. His attitude on and off the pitch is second to none and he is always pushing himself to be better.
Cian is one of the standout players of his age in the county and its no surprise to see him flourish over the last few years and into the future.
