BIO

I am 18 years old living in Meath, Ireland. I played football and GAA from a young age although in recent years I have been focusing solely on football. I am currently playing with duleek senior men’s team and I hope to play lots of minutes this season. I like to have the ball at my feet to find a pass forward or dribble forward. Ideally I like to play attacking midfield where I can receive the ball in little pockets of space between the opposition’s midfield and backline.

Testimonial

As an ex-coach of Hugh O’Donnell, it is my pleasure to provide a reference on his behalf. Having coached Hugh for numerous years, I can confirm he is a person of outstanding character both on and off the football pitch. Hugh came into St Kevins FC from Duleek AFC and joined the partnership Bohemian FC/St Kevin’s FC u13s in 2020, and I was lucky to coach him for 3 years, during this time we were very successful qualifying for the elite league of Ireland phases and challenging for honours. Hugh was an integral part of everything we did.

During this time Hugh attended the FAI Emerging Talent programme for the best players in the country in the 2007 age group: highlighting his elite level footballing ability. Hugh’s commitment to improving himself stood out as his attendance record for training was exemplary. He has a sense of fairness that extends both to teammates and other teams’ players both on and off the pitch and has always been a very popular teammate on any team he was on.

He is someone I reference to younger players as someone to look up to and someone we use as a reference in behaviour, standards and reactions to any setbacks which come his way as well as having a high level of footballing ability. I am delighted and proud to see Hugh continue to play football at a high level; showing that he has not lost any of the ability and work rate which has shown

throughout his footballing journey to date. It is my opinion that any college would be lucky to have a person of Hugh’s ability and attitude in their institution. (Karl Lambe – Coach)
