Rory Fitzgerald

My name is Rory Fitzgerald and I am the current captain of Cork City FC U17, with my primary position being as a left-back and I can also comfortably play center-back. As a left-back, I am aggressive and attacking-minded but also dominant in 1v1 defensive duels. I also have a high IQ on tactical and positional awareness, excellent fitness levels and great pace & explosiveness.

I've been with Cork City since 2023, which means I have been competing at the highest level of academy football in Ireland, being integrated into a professional environment with three weekly sessions along with elite strength and conditioning.

Attached are some of my key achievements in my football career thus far:

1. Captain of this years U17 squad

2. Interprovincial All-Ireland Champion with Munster in 2025, playing every minute in the tournament

3. All-Ireland Champion with Cork City in 2024

4. All-Ireland Champion with Cork Schoolboys League in 2022
