Seanan McDonnell

I am an 18-year-old goalkeeper from Killeagh, currently playing football with Midleton FC and Gaelic football with Killeagh GAA. I am a dedicated and versatile goalkeeper with experience at both junior and youth levels, having made my MSL Junior Premier debut at just 17 and my Senior School debut at 14.

I pride myself on being a modern, well-rounded goalkeeper who is comfortable playing with the ball at my feet and actively contributing to build-up play. I enjoy being involved in possession, helping to start attacks from the back and providing an additional passing option for my defenders. My communication and leadership are key strengths, and I aim to organise and support those around me while maintaining a strong presence in the penalty area.

My fitness levels are also a major part of my game. My ability to cover ground and maintain intensity is supported by a 4:45 Bronco fitness test, reflecting my commitment to maintaining a high physical standard.

During the 2025 ESEI Christmas Cup, I helped my team finish as runners-up, conceding just three goals across five games, while keeping three clean sheets and contributing an assist. These performances demonstrated my ability to remain composed under pressure while contributing both defensively and offensively.

Alongside football, my involvement in Killeagh GAA has helped develop my athleticism, competitiveness, communication and teamwork. I also completed the TFA Transition Year Course during the 2024–25 academic year, further developing my understanding of football and my personal skills within the game.

I am an ambitious goalkeeper who is constantly looking to improve, with a strong work ethic and a desire to progress to the highest level possible.
